The paper presents a comprehensive analysis on the status quo of urban-rural integral development of Guangzhou，and its conclusion includes the powerful guiding of planning，the strong implementation，the continuous upgrading of industrial structure，the improved infrastructure in the new area，and the started village planning. Then，the paper discusses the problems existing in urban-rural integration，including extensive land use，a large gap between people’s living standards，sluggish rural development，widened gap in social security，and prominent social contradictions. On this basis，the paper proposes some suggestions on innovative mechanism for the urban-rural integration of Guangzhou.
