Seed industry is the “lifeline” of modern agriculture development. The technological innovation of seed industry would promote the development of farming and cultivation，plant protection，agriculture engineering，environmental protection and agro-processing. At present，Guangzhou seed industry still faced the problems such as weak seed supply guarantee，lack of technological innovation，less competitive and other issues. In order to occupy the strength of agricultural development，Guangzhou should develop the seed industry with “the integration of cultivation，breeding and promotion”，elects the main direction，strengthens the scientific research，gathers the superior resources and makes regional layout plan. Meanwhile，the policy support，platform construction and leading enterprises nurturing should also be provided to further develop the seed industry in Guangzhou.
