The purpose of the study was to investigate the family and marriage values of Beijing residents，The data from the sample survey showed：family happiness was the residents’ generally pursue，most residents attached great importance to the family interests，praised equality mutual relationships，praised filial duty and practiced actively. Referring to the marriage values，Beijing residents praised highly the importance of the marriage happiness，most of them were in favor of maintaining the loyalty of marriage，and agreed on maintenances of marriage stability. The general characters of the family values and the affecting factors were discussed.
