In a referendum demanding caps on the number immigrants，the Swiss people voted by the smallest margin to impose quotas on newcomers to the country. The Swiss economy continues to grow steadily with the Central Bank having abandoned the exchange-rate ceilings and imposed negative interest rates. Switzerland’s diplomatic relationships with China developed smoothly in 2014，especially with the China-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement（FTA）taking effect on July 1 2014. <<
