In 2014,the EU’s legislations focused on deepening the construction of the Banking Union,enforcing the Single Market Act II,promoting the building of the Digital Single Market,and implementing the Europe 2020 strategy through the “European Semester”.This report gives a brief introduction to the EU secondary legislations adopted in 2014 including mainly the following:1)the two Regulations on the statute and funding of European political parties and European political foundations;2)the Regulation on the framework of a Single Resolution Mechanism(SRM),the Directive on markets in financial instruments(MiFID II)and the Regulation on markets in financial instruments(MiFIR);3)the Directive on public procurement,the Regulation on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market(eIDAS),the Directive on damages for infringements of the competition law provisions,and the amending Directive on sale of tobacco and related products;and 4)the amending Regulation on the procedures related to the common commercial policy. In addition,this report briefs the ongoing EU FTA and BIT negotiations with the USA,Japan and China respectively.
