Hong Kong is not only the origin of modern media industry in China，but also currently one of the most developed area of China’s media industry.This paper briefly introduces the basic situation of media ecology in Hong Kong，focuses on four distinct characteristics of intense commercial competition，strong political tendency，special social function and unique cultural attribute Hong Kong’s media ecology has present，and on this basis puts forward three factors should be considered in the development of media industry in Hong Kong.
