The export of labor can，to a certain extent，work to alleviate poverty. For women struggling with poverty，work in domestic help can be a quick way of improving their livelihoods. This has meant that domestic help has become an important option for outgoing female laborers from poor regions. The Beijing Fuping Development Institute is built on the basis of solid business experience and a strong sense of social responsibility channeled into the desire to alleviate poverty amongst women. The Institute’s aim is to coordinate resources from a range of different sources to put to use in providing an integrated set of services for women，including vocational training for domestic helpers，assistance with finding employment，and the protection of rights. This is all aimed at empowering these women to free themselves from poverty and find decent employment. China is currently experiencing rapid urbanization. In this context the Fuping model can provide practical insight into how the efforts of government，businesses，and social organizations can be combined to produce more effective strategies to combat poverty，to empower poor Chinese women both economically and politically，and ultimately，to fundamentally change the feminization of poverty.
