社会企业已经成为解决中国社会难题的一种新型组织形态,而公益创投则是培育社会创新的有效方法。本论文聚焦于企业家孵化的创新,提炼出企业家运用公益创投方法培育此类社会企业的初步理论假设。为了更加深入地探讨企业家的创新举措,文章使用了一家扶持青年创业的社会企业“福州蓝丝带商务会展有限公司”的案例来阐述可能存在的因果关系。文章最后得出了三个理论假设。一是解释了企业家愿意发起社会企业的原因:志愿文化和志愿者网络培育了企业家的主体性,使得企业家从志愿者转变为公益项目的主导者,从而升华为社会企业家。二是探索了企业家运营社会企业的策略:在社会企业的起步阶段,他们倾向于首先尝试尽可能多的发展方式,然后选出最合适的业务模式。三是企业家运用社会企业来连接商业和公益的网络,社会企业在这种生态系统中更加容易生存,生态系统也变得更加稳定。
<<Social enterprises have become one of the newer organizational forms to be tackling the tough social problems currently faced in China. Meanwhile,venture philanthropy has become an effective way to nurture social innovation. This paper focuses on the innovations of entrepreneurs,and attempts to develop the first steps towards a theory to explain the dynamics of the growth of this type of social enterprise. In a bid to gain further insight into the innovations of such entrepreneurs,the authors draw on a case study of “Fuzhou Blue Ribbon”(Fuzhou lansidai shangwu huizhan youxian gongsi)-a social enterprise aimed at supporting young people to set up their own businesses. Ultimately,the paper offers three propositions. The first attempts to explain the reasons behind the willingness of entrepreneurs to establish social enterprises,arguing that a culture of volunteerism and networks of volunteers cultivate an entrepreneur’s sense of ownership for their philanthropic pursuits,thus encouraging their transformation from volunteer into a leader of philanthropic projects,then finally on to become a social entrepreneur. The second explores the strategies of entrepreneurs in operating social enterprises. This proposition posits that during the social enterprise’s preliminary phase,entrepreneurs tend towards first attempting as many development paths as possible,only later selecting the most suitable model. The third proposition is that entrepreneurs use social enterprises to link up to both commercial and philanthropic networks. Within this kind of ecosystem,it is easier for social enterprises to survive,and in turn the ecosystem itself becomes more stable.
