Beijing has speeded up urban renewal with the development of urbanization. As an important historical area of the old cities，Dashilar is an important part of urban cultural diversity and long history in old Beijing. Based on the survey in Dashilar District，the paper analyses the present situation and problems of community structure in Dashilar，and attempts to put forward some new suggestions for urban renewal and renovation of Beijing historical cultural areas.
