This article is aimed for providing investors a reference to understand China’s retail bookstore industry and investment in this industry through analysis of retail bookstore business data in 2013 and 2014 based on the government policy and bookstore industry’s own operation. The conclusion of this article provides a possible suggestion on the evolution of bookstore business mode via external investment and brand re-modeling. A positive forecast for the future development of the industry is also made in the article.
