Since 2005，the activity of standardization construction for marriage registration was launched by Ministry of Civil Affairs，which kicked off the curtain of standardization construction for marriage registration. During the past seven years，the standardization construction of marriage construction has made remarkable achievements，and it is necessary to conclude and evaluate it，thus to propose policy suggestions for the marriage registration in the future. It is the start point and destination point of our research project. In this project，historical development process and achievements of institutionalized construction were combed for the standardization construction of marriage registration in China by starting from the connotation，characteristic，requirements of standardization construction，as well as the purpose，significance and major contents of standardization construction for the marriage registration in China. And then the standardization construction for place of marriage registration service，forms and certificates，working procedure，CI specification，information network platform，professional ethics and etiquettes，occupational standard，service concept and service ability was studied. Finally，the development trend and construction emphasis were proposed for the standardization construction for marriage registration service in China.
