This article analyzes the changes of the international competitiveness of China's non-ferrous metals industry. International comparisons of the main products of non-ferrous metals (copper,aluminum,lead,nickel)are carried out by adopting the international market share,trade competitiveness index,revealed comparative advantage index. The conclusion shows that China is a large country but not a powerful country in the field of non-ferrous metals industry at the present stage.International competitiveness of some traditional advantageous products are obviously weakened (such as lead,zinc,tin). Finally,this article analyses some factors affecting the international competitiveness of nonferrous metal industry,including industrialization stage,resource endowment and government policy. <<
