Since the handover,Macau associations have generally maintained the trend of diversified development.The quantity and density of associations have increased rapidly.The category of associations has become more diversified.The activity areas and functions of associations have become more extensive.Compared to the times before the handover,associations in Macau have experienced a certain degree of adjustment and changes in different aspects,including their quantities,structures,functions as well as internal and external relations.In general,the advantages and problems of associations coexisted.The quantity of associations grows rapidly,but some of them cannot survive long;the density of associations is high,but the modernity of associations is inadequate;the type of associations is pluralistic but unbalanced;the function of associations is diverse but not competent.In 2013,Macau will hold a new legislative election.Under the effect of the election,the ecology and pattern of associations in Macau will undoubtedly have new changes. <<
