The Palace Museum, one of the most remarkable national museums in China, has been involved in deep crisis by ten large or small critical events within three months in 2011. And it is unveiled by this paper via systematic investigation and analysis that retarded response, dishonest attitude, inadequate accountability, influential and spreading network and, superficial awareness of the media supervision, and the curiosity of the public are all the important and direct causes of these events besides the deeper reasons of bureaucracy, loose management and profit-driven. Therefore, the author believes that the Palace Museum as a public service sector should implement sound plans, improve the accountability system, publicity and other measures to proceed further enhancement in crisis management with a straight and rational attitude.
