There are six burgeoning urban agglomerations in central China, including Wuhan urban agglomeration in Hubei, Changzhutan urban agglomeration in Hunan, Zhongyuan urban agglomeration in Henan, Wanjiang urban agglomeration in Anhui, Huanpoyanghu urban agglomeration in Jiangxi, and Taiyuan urban agglomeration in Shanxi. In order to achieve the rise of central China, it is necessary to promote the harmonious and orderly development of urbanization in central China, so as to make the hierarchy of cities and towns in central China to become reasonably coordinate and have a perfect structure, so that the cities and towns will develop in a common way both competitively and cooperatively. Based on analysis and evaluation, the author proposes a series of countermeasures and suggestions as follows: to optimize the internal and external urban forms, to integrate the spatial structure of city clusters, to coordinate the development of urban and rural areas as a whole. <<
