The central region, one of the four major economic regions in China, is the most prominent area of "three rural" issues and also is the most pressing area for the urban-rural integration requirements. In the "11th five-year plan" period, the urban-rural integration has formed its own characteristics and explored some experience in practice in six provinces of the central region. But there are still many problems in the urban-rural integration, which needs new strategy to promote the development of urban-rural integration in the Central Region. <<
