In 2012, the Research Team on Rule of Law Studies in China, Law Institute, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS)developed an indicators system for the evaluation of procuratorial transparency and used the system to carry out a quantitative evaluation of the openness of procuratorial affairs for the people's procuratorates of 26 provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government and the intermediate people's procuratorates of 43 larger cities. The evaluation focuses on the disclosure of information with respect to the basic facts about the procuratorates, guide to procuratorial affairs, the work of the procuratorate, and statistical data. This report, based on the summarization and analysis of the achievements made and the problems existing in the implementation of the system of openness for procuratorial affairs, offers suggestions on further promoting the sustainable development of procuratorial transparency in China. <<
