Urbanization is the key to the modernization. It is an important way to solve the problem of agriculture，countryside and farmers. Promoting the new type of urbanization scientifically is the inevitable choice of realizing the rise of central plains，the revitalization of Henan province and making people prosperous. Based on the analysis of the development status of insurance in Henan，this paper puts forward that the insurance should grasp the opportunity of the new type urbanization strategy and serve for “people’s urbanization”. Under the new normal，the insurance need give full play to the advantages of the funds，improve the urban management and coordinate urban and rural to promote the development of economy in Henan.
