The promotion of culture and scientific technology integration and the development of new cultural formats have been brought forward at the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and it has also pointed out that the interactive and integrative relationship between new high technology and culture industry, and that scientific technological innovation has become the driving force for the development of culture industry. In the new historical era, it turns out to be the major issue that how to seize the opportunity that new revolution of science and technology continue to deepen and new technology popularity increases, to speed up the improvement of cultural innovation system, to hasten new cultural formats, and to constantly cultivate a new growth point for culture industry. This paper depicts in depth the importance of culture and scientific technology integration in culture industry development, and introduces in detail the achievements cultural departments gained through promoting culture and scientific technology integration. And the author proposes main tasks to boost culture industry through the promotion of culture and scientific technology integration. Ministry of Culture will actively promote culture and scientific technology integration, expand form and scope of application of science and technology in culture, and accelerate the process of culture industry becoming national economic backbone industry with the important power of culture and scientific technology integration. <<
