Since 2014，political stability has been maintained inthe Latin American region generally，while changes inruling parties and governments were carried out in an orderly fashion. As the negative consequences ofthe world economic crisis become more obvious in the LAC region，most governments have faced growingchallenges，increasingly complex administrative environment and mounting pressure. To achieveeffectivegovernance，many governments have promoted politicalandelectoral reforms actively，and put forward many reform proposals for state and social governance. It is possible that the governance environment could be worse in the near future，so the governments and ruling parties in the region have to address new challenges and difficulties.
