New energy automobiles are mainly electric cars. Currently pure electric cars and plug-in hybrid cars are manufactured in large scales. Despite their technological advantage，fuel cell cars have not entered into massive production because of constraints from technical economy. USA，Japan，and Europe are major producers as well as consumers for new energy cars. Supported by its technological advantage and policy，Japan has become an important player in global new energy cars market.
