In 2014，Sino-Japanese economic and trade relationship maintained the trend from last year，that is，bilateral trade continued to contract，Japan’s investment to China reduced significantly，and China’s relative strength continued to increase. The major problem hampering bilateral economic exchanges is that Japan tends to be excessively concerned with China’s rising up. Although bilateral deadlock has been mitigated by the “four-point principled agreement”，and two-way exchanges have picked up，more time is needed to get bilateral economic relationship back on track.
