In the year 2014，Beijing keeps speeding up the construction of national cultural center in several aspects：historic city and cultural heritage conservations are under steady progress，the renovation of historic urban area has made new advancement；efficiency of public cultural services has been promoted，new ways of purchasing public services are under exploration；top-level design of cultural & creative industry is unveiled，convergence of culture and finance has made great breakthrough；with the cultivation of the idea of cultural consumption，cultural consumption plays a great role in boosting the economy；foreign culture exchanges has been expanded，the construction of cultural trade base has made new progress. This report focuses on the achievements of Beijing’s cultural development and other essential parts，generalizes the above new progress and provides suggestions based on the analysis of cultural development.
