This paper reviewed and summarized the definition and classification of structured products in Hong Kong. A thorough analysis was conducted on its issuing scale，type of assets and trading as well as the issuers. The regulatory framework for structured products，including the systems of the issuer，issuance，disclosure and investor protection is also discussed extensively. Finally，this paper summed up the experience of the development of structured products in Hong Kong and advanced 7 proposals regarding the current status of mainland wealth management market including determining the legal status，unifying regulators，improving the information disclosure system，facilitating secondary market development and enhancing the investor protection system，etc..
