In 2011-2012, the funeral development of China had been achieved fruitful progress: the beneficial funeral had been boarded a higher level, the science and technology funeral already had been achieved a big breakthrough, the green funeral had been made further progress, and the transformation of achievements had new measures. However, Modern funeral of long-term management mechanisms and funeral technological innovation system had not been established. The promotions of scientific and technological achievements in funeral industry were not enough. The efforts of beneficial funeral were imbalanced in different regions and the humanities funeral lack spirit of innovation. The year of 2013 is the starting year to implement the spirit of the 18th CPC National Congress. The overall approach of promoting economic, political, cultural, social, and ecological progress in building socialism with Chinese characteristics will profoundly impact on the development of the modern funeral. Government authorities should intensify the funeral beneficial policies as well as vigorously promote ecological regression; accelerate the construction of new "Regulations on funeral and interment control", specify the funeral public services standard, inherit the advanced funeral culture, increase the government investment in the funeral affairs, quicken up the steps of promotions of scientific and technological achievements, promote the scientific development of the funeral industry.
