At the Canadian local elections in 2013-2014，there are 147 candidates of Chinese Canadian elites and 41 of them are elected successfully. In addition，there are 15 Chinese Canadian elites who are appointed as officials in different levels of government and their performance is wonderful. Chinese Canadian constituents participate in the elections very actively and their votes are paid more attention than before by all the parties and play a very important role. And the Chinese Canadian associations and media try to strengthen the coordination，mobilize Chinese Canadian constituents to vote actively and play very important propelling functions. However，there are still some new and old problems for their political participation. For example，the preparation of Chinese Canadian elites is not enough，their rate of success is low，their political platform scatters and lacks operability，too many Chinese candidates in some districts result in the disperse of votes，the malignant attacks of rhetoric between them result in negative influence for the elections，Chinese Canadian constituents are cold to politics and their voting rate is still lower than before and the propaganda and mobilization of Chinese Canadian associations and media is not enough，and the discrimination and prejudice towards Chinese Canadians still exists in Canadian society and impedes their zeal for political participation. To look at the future，with the stable increase of Chinese Canadian population and the continual improvement of their social economic status，their awareness of political participation will strengthen gradually. And with the rise of China and the closer relationship between China and Canada，the zeal of Chinese Canadians’ political participation will be much higher and they will play more important roles in Canadian politics and it’s good to maintain their legitimate interests and rights.
