Urban ecological image remains an important issue worthy of much attention in the process of urbanization. It not only occupies an essential position in citizen’s daily life，but also matters much for a city’s long-term development. In order to objectively present the evaluation of the public on 36 cities’ image of China，the Social Survey Center for the Public Opinion Research Laboratory of Shanghai Jiaotong University，invited about 3600 respondents nationwide to make a comprehensive evaluation on 36 cities’ ecological images from the following five dimensions：weather，environmental protection，street appearance and sanitation，infrastructure，traffic condition. Based on the investigation result，it is hoped that this study will do help to provide references for cities to build a sound ecological image.
