近年来深圳在面临“四个难以为继”的背景下，提出了培植六大战略性新兴产业、推动产业转型升级的战略部署，其中文化产业已经成为深圳市四大支柱产业之一，文化产业中更是将发展创意设计产业作为重点，深圳被授予“设计之都”的称号更是城市发展转型的标志。今天，深圳设计产业要思考的是：如何推动产业文明，加快设计业与制造业、服务业的融合创新，在政策和金融方面加大对中小微设计企业的扶持力度，立足珠三角，共建深港“设计双城”，让设计强企，让设计惠民，实现从“深圳速度”到“深圳质量”的跨越。
<<Shenzhen is the first City of Design accredited by UNESCO in China. Today the cultural industry has become one of the four pillar industries in Shenzhen. As an important part of cultural industry，design industry should speed up the fusion with manufacturing and services. The design industry of Shenzhen must be based on the Pearl River Delta，build the ‘Shenzhen and Hong Kong design twins’，shift from‘Shenzhen speed’ to ‘Shenzhen quality’.
