In 2014，revolving around the construction of civilized Henan，the whole province made a lot of achievements in the development of cultural undertakings. The construction of modernized public cultural services system proved highly successful，cultural activities were colorful，the protection of cultural heritage was reformed firmly and prudently，cultural excellent works were improved in grade，and cultural exchanges realized a breakthrough both in quantity and quality. While even so，there still existed problems，such as the lagging phenomena in public cultural service system and in management on cultural activities，the lack of new blood in art circles，and an urgent necessity for the protection of cultural heritage to be improved，all of which must be solved through improving service system and cultural management，optimizing the creative environment of artistic works and greatly strengthening the protection of cultural heritage. Only by doing so，can we put forward our cultural undertakings into an era of great development and great prosperity.
