It is of great significance for the construction of ecological livable city to promote New-type urbanization，and to realize the sustainable development of society. Till now，the constructions of ecological livable city in Henan province have had some successful practice and exploration. However，there are still many problems existing in the urbanizing level，urban system，pressure of energy and environment. In the paper，in order to achieve urban sustainable development，we propose to strengthen the industrial support，perfect the city functions，construct the ecological networks，increase investment in science and technology，and to innovate the capital to guarantee the constructions of ecological livable city construction in Henan province.
