To understand the mental health condition of funeral workers in China，the research team went to 21 funeral services in ten provinces，to conduct the mental health survey of funeral workers in 2014.A great deal of valid data was collected through questionnaires and interviews. According to the analysis of the 338 valid questionnaires，the mental health condition of funeral workers was much poorer than the national level. Moreover，the proportions of people with heavy mental health problems and the proportion of each unhealthy subject were apparently higher than the average. In addition，the academic backgrounds were significantly associated with mental health. However，the factors such as gender，different degree of remains contact，work experience，had no significant correlation with the participating employees’ mental health.
