The 2012 sociological academic annual conference was held in Yinchuan，including 37 forums. The third national forum of ocean sociology was sponsored by Ocean University of China；four units named basic theory of ocean sociology，ocean culture and folklore，ocean social groups and fishing society as well as ocean management were included. During the forum，many splendid academic lectures were made by lots of expects. At the closing ceremony，professor Song Linfei，the president of Chinese Sociological Association proposed some key research areas needed to enhance，and ocean sociology was specially emphasized，indicating its importance understood by the sociological academic circles. However，in order to obtain more discourse power from mainstream sociology and fast disciplinary development，sociological paradigm and field study are needed to strength.
