How to increase the socio-economic benefits tourism brings about，reduce the cost of production，and prevent or resolve conflicts between the residents and visitors，is an important issues that can not be avoided. What is urgent for Macao’s economic development in recent years is to adjust the economic structure，so as to solve the “distribution” problems in economics. Meanwhile，the worry about the slowdown or downturn of income from gaming industry is actually not worthwhile，as long as the situation does not affect the employment and social security. Perhaps the adjustment of the gaming industry means an opportunity for the diversified development of other industries.
