The community work is not only one of the three traditional methods of social work，but also the subject part of macro-social work practice，which takes an important role in the social work theory，practice，method and system. The paper mainly discusses the three main modes of community social work practice：regional development，social planning and social action. The development model of the three kinds of social work practice has been used for reference to the construction of Chinese characteristics community social work practice model.
