文化消费是一种社会行为,主要体现在人们的生活形态和日常行为中,因此,民众的文化消费程度可以直接而精确地反映一个国家或地区的文化水平和精神文明程度。台北市文化指标中的文化消费调查,旨在了解台北市民在大众传播类活动、视觉艺术类活动、表演艺术类活动、文化艺术机构与设施、文艺民俗节庆活动、观光旅游活动六个方面的参与和消费概况。本研究主要运用分层随机抽样方法,置信水平控制在95%,针对居住在台北市各行政区且年满15岁的市民进行计算机电话访查,分别于2012年底(有效样本1076份)与2013年底(有效样本2002份)实施调查。调查结果显示,整体而言,台北市民2012年、2013年的文化消费大致呈现衰退趋势。
<<Cultural consumption is a type of social behavior found in our everyday lives and actions. Therefore,cultural consumption directly and precisely reflects the cultural and intellectual levels of a region or country. Cultural consumption surveys as part of the Taipei City Cultural Indicator are designed to understand the consumption and participation of Taipei citizens above 15 years old in activities related to mass communication,visual arts,performing arts,cultural and arts institutions and facilities,cultural and folklore festivals,and travel and tourism. With a confidence level of 95%,the present study usestratified random sampling to conduct computer-assisted telephone interviews on Taipei citizens above age 15. This survey was carried out in 2012 (with 1076 valid samples collected) and 2013 (with 2002 valid samples collected),respectively. The results of analysis indicate a general decline in Taipei citizens’ cultural participation. Given that cultural participation and cultural consumption are very much affected by the political environment,economic climate,social situation and technological development,long-term observation and analysis are required,rather than relying on temporary statistical results. It is hoped that the government will continue conducting cultural surveys to not only help us understand the overall cultural development of Taipei City but also serve as standards for the evaluation of the cultural literacy and cultural strength of different regions,cities and nations.
