A questionnaire was conducted on residents in four streets from different districts in Beijing. The statistical analysis were conducted by SPSS 19.0. We could know the current situation and existing problems on residents sorting collection of municipal domestic waste，countermeasures were put forward through the basis of this：firstly，strengthen publicity and education on residents；secondly，draw up clear classification of contents and guide markers；thirdly，improve the practical classification and collection facilities；fourth，enact and perfect the laws and regulations of Municipal Domestic Waste and so on.
