The rapid expansion of floating population in Beijing is an important cause of sustained growth of the total population in Beijing. The free flow of labor force，the process of urbanization and advantage resources brought by diversified functions of Beijing are the main reasons to attract population from other places to gather in Beijing. In order to achieve the orderly management of floating population in Beijing of Beijing population regulation，the effective strategies include optimizing urban functions，optimizing the industrial structure，improving the legislation of residence permit system，establishing dynamic management mechanism of floating population and departmental coordinating mechanism
