In 2014，Henan Energy and Chemical Industry Group（HNEC）pursues product upgrading as the central task，and adheres to principles of acting according to its ability and pay-as-you-go. HNEC pays special attention to the product structure adjustment projects，implements the upgrading of the leading industry，and fosters new sources of economic growth. However，there are some problems in the progress，such as the difficulty of expanding market share，the pressure of production safety and environmental protection，the heavy historical burden，the increasing financial pressure. In 2015，facing the new normal of macro-economy，HNEC will take great pains to delicacy management，deepening the state-owned enterprise（SOE）reform，upgrading and transformation，harmony construction. In the future，HNEC should play a more important role in the process of the rise of the Economic Region of Central Plain，the revitalization of Henan，the task of making common people prosperous and province strong.
