Hubei flower-drum troupe culture and art research institute is the only culture unit in Hubei that combines artistic performance and research.The troupe changed from Jingzhou flower-drum troupe to intangible cultural heritage inheritance organization during the reform in 2012，and since then，the troupe shoulder the responsibility of both artistic performance and protection of intangible cultural heritage. The research institute developed with a steady pace in 2013 and made great contribution to the protection and publicity of flower-drum opera. Meanwhile，there still exist many problems to be solved.
