In 2012,China’s urbanization rate has reached 52.59%,while the real rate would be 35.29% excluding the agricultural household population.Migrant workers have become the main body of the yearly new residential population in cities.However,the process and the quality of urbanization were affected by the insufficient coverage of basic public services to the transferring agricultural population,especially migrant workers.Under such context,this paper introduces the current situation of the urban basic public services and analyzes the problems resulting from the incomplete coverage of basic public services.At last,we present the general idea of how to promote the full coverage of urban basic public services to the urban resident population,and put forward some countermeasures.
