2008年，中国城乡居民收入继续保持增长，但增幅有所放缓；与此同时，居民生活水平进一步提高，生活质量明显改善，全面建设小康社会进程继续向前迈进。预计2009年城乡居民生活水平继续提高，但消费需求增幅将有所放慢。
<<In 2008，income of Chinese urban and rural residents keeps on rising while the rate of income growth is dropping. At the same time，life quality of citizens gets further improvement and the progress of constructing Well-Off society marches forward. It is expected that Chinese people’s living standards will continue to improve while the growth rate of consumption requirement will slow down in 2009.
