In recent years，simultaneously with continuous expansion of the employment scale and gradual improvement in the employment structure，China has made efforts in improving the employment quality. The employment policies unveiled from 2013 are distinctive，which is incarnated by continuous enhancement of policy implementation，attention to the employment driven by pioneering work，stress on the employment of college graduates and emphasis on promoting the employment by deepening the reform. As for interactive development of the employment and the China’s economy，the economic growth has significantly promoted the employment. The promoting effects made on the employment significantly differ among the three industries，and it is stressful for the three industries to further absorb labor power. The promoting effects made by economic growth on the employment significantly differ among regions，and the space for absorbing labor power in urban areas is quite different from that in rural areas. As for challenges to the employment，the stress from total of manpower is persistent，and that from the young manpower supply structure is heavy；the stress applied by the economic downturn on the employment，as well as the adjustment of industrial structure，limits the space for employment development；the increase in employment cost affects employment by enterprises to some extent，and the uncertainty of employment impacts the its sustainable development. It is suggested that policies shall be made from the perspectives of promoting economic development and motivating the employment to approach challenges and push its sustainable development.
