The investigation about the social support among Beijing residents showed that 1.8% of the residents were at low level，74.2% of the residents were at average level，24.1% of the residents had a high level social support. The main social support of residents came from family and relatives，a little social support came from the organization. The level of the social support of Beijing residents had the positive relationship with their life satisfaction. The report made some suggestions for promoting social support.
