Local elderly sport associations play a significant role in the application of China’s elderly sport policies，functioning as the essential platform where to carry out elderly sports throughout China. This article，with methods of literature research，on-site survey，and questionnaire，investigated the organization construction，facility provision，and activity arrangement of local elderly sport associations in 2012. Based on the basic information collected，this article summarized the work experience，analyzed problems found，and made some suggestions to pave the way for a better development of elderly sports in the future.
