The political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina was quite unstable，with severe rivalries between the different parties and a difficult and slow process of constitutional reforms. All of these have seriously impacted upon its accession process and there is no expectation for it to get the EU candidate status in the near future. Its economic growth in 2013 was still in low gear，but the budget deficit was alleviated in some degree. In 2013，China and BiH reached important cooperation agreements and the bilateral relations progressed further.
