Croatia’s accession to the EU is a story of the transformation from Euroscepticism to Europeanism. Fighting against corruption and cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia were the two major problems encountered during its accession negotiations with the EU. Its final accession to the EU has exerted positive influences on not only Croatia and the western Balkan region，but on the whole of the EU.
