Since CAFTA formally got in gear in 2001,it has been playing positive roles for promoting the trading and economic development of Southeast Asian nations and areas. In January,2010,China established a Free Trade Area with 6 countries of ASEAN (6+1),and up to 2015,China will found the Free Trade Area with the other four countries of ASEAN (10+1).The cargo trade between China and ASEAN has been increasing greatly, and even in the first half of 2011 it was increased to some extent than that in 2010.By means of the analysis on Guangdong's export and import competitive and non-compatitive industries, the article explores the issues and challenges since the one year foundation of CAFTA,and proposes some assumptions for Guangdong's enterprises to strengthen the cooperation with the ASEAN enterprises:the competivive industries should adopt the growth strategy so as to amplify the portions of their products in the markets;the non-competitive industries could adopt either growth or stability strategy in accordance with their own circumstances;and the most competitive industries would adopt the stability strategy. In addition, the government should open up more channels to cooperate with the ASEAN countries,to effectively integrate and comprehensively employ the private capitals,to expand Guangdong's chains of cultural industries to ASEAN countries,to deepen the cooperation with ASEAN countries through some large and important projects and to strengthen the cooperation with the neighboring provinces and districts and to extend the ASEAN markets and so on.
