The article analyzes the effects of foreign patent rights on China's exports.Based on gravity model,the empirical analysis covers three electronic information industries.The results of empirical study indicate that,overall,increasing foreign patent rights have a positive impact on China's exports of electronic information industry via the market expansion effect.However,strong foreign patent rights stimulate the market expansion effect of China's exports across countries with high income or strong imitative ability only.On the contrary,strong foreign patent rights have a negative impact on China's exports across countries with low income or weak imitative ability via the market power effect. <<
