With the rapid development of the Internet，online media has become a mighty media. Particularly in the last two or three years，the Chinese online media not only still act as “grassroots” media’s role in the expression of public opinion，but also play an important role on the news dissemination of significant events，so become an indispensable mainstream media in upholding the direction of mainstream public opinion. Based on detailed survey data，this report mainly analyses some factor，such as the degree of concern of Internet users，the sources of online news，the characteristics of the network audience，the topics and the columns of network news，the access behavior of the audience，and the quantity of network information，to discover the situation and characteristics of the information communication by the Internet media on some the information communication，including the China Communist Party Congress，the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games，the 2008 earthquake relief，and 2009 sessions of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
