2007年，遵照基本法的规定，香港特别行政区顺利完成两个选举的工作，基本法的实施获得伟大成果，政制改革获得重大突破，香港法制在基本法的框架下健康发展。澳门法制在基本法的框架下继续稳定、有序地发展。澳门立法会与特区政府提出《二○○七至二○○九年度公共行政改革路线图》，积极探讨政治发展的方式与方法，探讨解决澳门法制发展中出现的问题的途径。2007年，台湾各方政治力量围绕选举采取各种各样的法律手段，从“特别费案”到“机要费案”，从地方选举的复查到“党主席”的换马，都与选举密切相关。2008年，港澳特别行政区将在基本法框架下继续健康发展；2008年是台湾的选举年，台湾领导人、立法院选举都将在2008年内进行。
<<In 2007，the Hongkong Special Administrative Region successfully completed two elections，made a major breakthrough in political reform，under the framework of the Basic Law.Macao continued to be stable and developed orderly in accordance to the Basic Law.Macao Legislative Council and Government proposed “public administration reform road from 2007 to 2009”，and actively explored political development in the legal system.The various political forces in Taiwan were engaged in elections.Special case fee，confidential expenses，local election，and NPP chairman changed，all closely related with the election.In 2008，the Hong Kong and Macao will continue to develop healthily under the Basic Laws；the Taiwan leader and legislative elections will be conducted in the year 2008.
